I had a picc line in when I was in the hospital after having gastric bypass

surgery. They inserted while I was still sedated so I don't know if it hurt

when they were placing it there but I do know it didn't hurt while it was in

there. I could feel it, and because I was hooked up to so many different

things my movement was limited.. But other than that is wasn't bad at all. It

was only in there for three days though. It may have bothered me more if it

had been in longer..

Hi all - I'm wondering if anyone out there has had to have Picc line

inserted to receive IV based nutrition for yourself & baby? Every

time I see my doctors they are leaning more & more in that

direction. I am a little nervous about it but if it will ensure good

growth for the baby & maybe even give me a little energy too, maybe

it is the best thing? Anyone have this happen to them that can give

me honest advice on what it is like?
