Guest guest
I had a spinal laminectomy about 2 1/2 years ago. The pain was so bad beforehand that I spent 2 months flat on my back. DH would bring my breakfast in the morning plus a small cooler with my lunch. Fortunately the bathroom is right next to the bedroom. I don't remember exactly the area. I think L4 L5. I was in the hospital 3 days afterward. My surgeon is a neurosurgeon and he ordered that I stay in the neurosurgery critical care unit. The nurses enjoyed having me there. I was the only patient who could csrry on a coherent conversation. Every thing went very well. I was grateful for the morphine pump. Once I came home my recovery was fast and uneventful. No pain until I fell out of bed a couple weeks ago. Now I'm going back to see the neurosurgeon June 6.
