Guest guest
Sabina - I reread your email and saw the 2mb/5ml AFTER I hit the send button!!!! With a prescription of 2mg/5ml, then she would get a starting dose of 3.69ml per day, divided into two doses of 1.85ml for breakfast and dinner. So starting her at 1/2 a cc is even less than 50% of what she would need. So yes, I agree that if she is having problems on this small amount, you wouldn't want to continue. I am not a doctor, maybe you can continue the Periactin for another couple of nights as I know with toddlers, it takes 2-3 nights to get used to it. This being said, Naomi is only 15 months old and the size of a much younger child, so Periactin may not be indicated at this time. I know Dr. Harbison always says no Periactin under 1 year of age. Try it for another couple of nights, and if you still have the same response, I would talk with your physician??? I am crossing my fingers for you, OK??? > I know periactin has been discussed many times and have read many of > the old posts on periactin. yesterday I got our ped to prescribe my > daughter Naomi periactin she wrote 1 to 3 cc 3 times a day before > meals (2mg/5ml).
