Hi, I'm new. I found this group yesterday when I was doing some

research on Silver Syndrome. My son was born premature at 30

weeks (IUGR) weighing 1 lb. 13 oz. 13 " in length. He will be 2 years

old next month. We are having a hard time getting him to gain

weight. He is very tiny. We also have some developmental delays.

Currently, we have speech and occupational therapies twice a week and

a nutritionist through Early Intervention.

Yesterday, I had to take to the doctor because he was very

sick - he has bronchitis. I asked her if she had any concerns about

his weight and she said right now she is leaning toward

Silver. She didn't give me a lot of information but said we would

discuss it at his two year old check up next month. We have not had

any genetic testing done yet but are planning to do so.

I have to be honest and say that I am very overwhelmed. I have many

thoughts and emotions going through me right now. I could ramble on

and on!

I guess I'm posting this messaging because I am looking for some

positive feedback on this condition instead of laboring over

the " negative " . I'm preparing myself for this diagnosis as I have

found many of the traits related to RSS are similiar to what we are

experiencing with .

I'm sitting here wondering what I did wrong and how I can fix this.

I don't think I can fix it but learn more about it.

I don't know what I'm saying. Any information or advise you can offer

I would be so grateful.

Thank you,

karaticia
