Guest guest
Hi , I had a c-section at 350 + pounds and I had a huge flap of fat covering over everything just like I do now.....its just less puffy now. (ha ha) The most important thing is to keep the incision dry. The labor and delivery nurses had me use extra long maxi-pads over the incision and this helped alot but I still did get a staph infection.....who knows why - even though I kept my incision dry!!!!. I took antibiotics and had to have some help from hubby a few times a day to change my dressing. The c-section wasn't bad pain wise for me - I had 28 hours of labor before that so I was willing to jump through a ring of fire at that point to get the baby out. I understand your fears - the best thing to do is to have someone who loves you and supports you there with you. My husband and mom were their and they were so great at keeping me calm and being advocates for me and the baby. Good luck and if there are any other answers I can give you please don't hesitate to ask. Chrystal Wife to Jace - together 6 Years! Happy Mommy to - 4 Years Old! Jonas Due July 28, 2004!
