When you read the subject line of this post you may think it's

a kid that has just started the diet. My son is 4 and he

has been on the GFCF diet for 15 months. Along with VERY

limited soy (only in frozen fries), no eggs, no tomatoes, no

olive oil, no yeast, limited sugar, no artifical colorings or

flavorings...you know the drill. I had him tested in the

beginning to be sure we needed to have him on the diet. He's

never done well with the diet. He use to eat ocassionally,

chicken, steak, pork chops and hot dogs. He also use to

eat rice cakes, chips, corn chips, gluten free pancakes

and always fries. He hasn't eaten any kind of meat since

I don't remember when. He hasn't eaten any rice cakes or

pancakes for a long time. And now he has even given up

the fries. The last 10-12 days all he has eaten is corn

chips and rice milk. I've even tried to limit the rice

milk, which is really hard, because I thought maybe he

wouldn't get so filled up. I took him to the doctor a

couple of weeks ago. He did have an ear infection but that

has long since cleared up. He does get chelated for mercury

but has since last July. Nothing has changed except he just

won't eat anymore. I've tried numerous receipes over the

past year. I've also tried fun little mixes and snacks.

Nothing works. Obviously I'm really concerned and don't know

what to do. I know he needs to be on the diet but I'm about

ready to axe it all to get this kid to eat again. He's not

really losing weight but he's only at 25% for his height and

40% for his weight for his age group. What do I do?

Very concerned Mom

Penny

P.S. He tested ok for corn but I know that could be a

problem.
