The major point that I really wanted to get across to the other parents here, is that if your child was very small at birth, you CAN argue your case, and get coverage for RSV. The Synergis vaccine is VERY expensive, but especially for babies with lung problems, it can be a life saver! Fortunately Medicaid decided to cover the shots, especially after the expensive stay had. has done remarkably well this year. His added weight, and improved overall health, seem to be seeing him through the colds, ear infections, and sinus infections he's had. We are, also, treating him very aggressive with Pulmicort and Zopenx whenever he starts to sniffle. (we've all learned a LOT in the last year! LOL) Glad to hear that Naomi is doing so much better, too! It's kind of a live and learn, day-to-day, existence with our kids!
