Guest guest
, Your symptoms sound so much like what happened to me. Get your blood tests done now, you can always get another slip from the doc for a month from now. Don't wait. And yes, it's possible to be 'hypo for you' based on what your optimum levels are. I got down to a FT4 of 1.1, my TSH was still low-normal (.45 I think without looking it up), and I was miserable, with absolutely every symptom you describe except not the occasional racing heart. Gained 10 lbs. in 2 weeks, and I wasn't even hungry. I had to reduce my tapazole rapidly at that point, I'd been on 7.5 mg. a day and dropped back to 5, then 2.5 within a couple of weeks to stop the hypo symptoms. Guest guest
Hey , Don't really have the experience and knowledge to help with your question about your hyper/hypo feelings and if what your are experiencing is just your body's way of adjusting right now or something to get looked at - not practically helpful I know, but you have my prayers and encouragment to hang in there and feel better soon. I think Terry's advice to get some lab work done and figure out where you feel your optimum best is good. Kudos to you for joining a fitness spa as well! I've heard lots of good things about the Curves groups and I'm sure it will be enjoyable as well as healthy for you to do. Hang in there! Guest guest
http://www.medicalert.org/E-Health/ This is a great service, Laurie. It's available now, according to their web site. FYI, those who have computer expertise could devise their own system easily enough. My husband carries his own little flash drive for work and its very handy even for transferring files from his machine to mine. It does appear that the MedicAlert E-Health flash drive comes loaded with software that helps you organize your medical records and analyze lab work, etc. If you just want straight storage and no fancy software, buy your own flash drive (about $50 as I recall) and label in a way that would make the purpose obvious. You could update your own records indefinitely and there would be no annual fee. Just a thought. Guest guest
Barbara Thanks for going to the web site. I'm staying in my bedroom (only room with air conditioning) since it is so hot. I plan to create my own and then work with the local hospital to try to get them to look for them and actually use them. I think that having a computer that can access them in ambulances is also important, so I might move in that direction next. It has to cool off before any of this happens. laurie > http://www.medicalert.org/E-Health/ > This is a great service, Laurie.
