Guest guest
Hi all Well Adam's endo feels that his bone age is so far delayed......he said to me 5.2 or 5.4 years (now I'm not sure if that's his bone AGE or the number of years behind......either way he's 11 now so that's a wide range). But he said, due to the extreme delay there is " no way " Adam can be starting puberty. I asked about the hair and he just repeated about the bone age. I'm shrugging my shoulders right now LOL!! What can I do? So I'll monitor him and take it from there. We've had discussions on here about kids lack of growth on GHT, well the endo has upped Adam's GHT amounts substantially again. Without getting into diluent levels, bla bla bla, up until Sept. Adam had 19 cc per night. The last 8 months his growth velocity had slowed so he threw it up to 22 cc's in Sept. (usually he increases by one cc at each 4 month visit). Now as of last night Adam is getting 25 cc's. Here's what I wanted to tell you all. He said that Canadian standards measure weight/amount of GHT at an incredibly lower amount that in the United States (he blabbed the numbers at me so fast I missed it). But the percentage in Canadian practice is 60% less than you guys do!!! He was afraid I would be upset that he was adding this much GHT to Adam each night. So his explanation was " Canada is much more conservative in the amounts than the US allows, so it's safe to increase this much " . Interesting eh??
