Roll Call - Ana K. (RSS Adult)

1). Ana K.

2). Right now I live in Iowa City, Iowa. I grew up in the Cleveland,

Ohio area, but was born (and dx'd with RSS) in the Sacramento,

California area.

3). I'm the one with RSS. I was born April 12, 1977, so I am 26

years old, almost 4'8 " and around 80lbs.

4). I can't remember my birth length, but I was 5lbs 0oz, born 3

days before my due date.

5). At the time I was dx'd with RSS (1978), there weren't really any

treatment options, so I never saw another doctor about RSS after

that -- just my usual ped appts.

6). I did get the RSS dx confirmed by a geneticist here at the

University of Iowa a few years ago.

7). I was 13 mos when a doctor (I think he was a ped) in Sacramento,

CA dx'd me.

8). I'm currently working on my PhD in Neuroscience at the U of Iowa

(maybe someday I'll actually finish...). Last summer I married

(a grad student in Political Science) -- btw, he's almost 6'2 " !
