Bonnie,

I had open RNY 1/2000 (nearly 5 years ago!!!) and was able to get

pregnant in February of 2002. I gained 18# with the pregnancy (plus

20# b/c of the fertility drugs). I lost the 18# within 2 weeks but

because of some bad habits (which I blame on anemia and poor

willpower-lol) I haven't lost the 20# fertility drug/sweets pounds.

I was able to kick my Wintergreen Lifesaver habit after my 6th IV iron

infusion, but for some reason NOW, my body is craving chocolate! lol

I give in to a bite or two here or there, and I've lost about 6#

without trying much. (by just stopping the lifesavers, I lost 18# in 3

weeks in January but relapsed and started back on Jan 18th).

I hope I haven't confused you. Reading all of this is confusing to me!

Fertility drug weight isn't coming off as easily as pregnancy weight,

because I am not disciplined enough yet to stop the chocolate intake.

I am about 20-25# heavier than I would like to be, but if I never lose

another pound, I am quite happy and comfortable with where I am now.

Especially every time I see, look at, hear or smell my beautiful baby boy!

:)

Hey Bonnie!

Welcome and congrats on the birth of your son! I am still in my

pregnancy - so I can't comment on the weight loss and all of that..

but it certainly is an interesting topic - and I look forward to

reading about it! And hearing from you on your progress!

Welcome to the group!

Trish
