Guest guest
Saundra asked me to let you all know that despite best efforts, Braeden got the flu from his twin sister Delaney, and was put in the hospital on the 16th. She may have already posted this, but I didn't check email the last couple of days..... Keep your fingers crossed that their stay will be brief. As a reminder, everyone, MAGIC has the blue RSS brochure and more importantly, a letter from Dr. Harbison, document #H-43 called " Dr. Harbison letter to parents of infants " -- that spells out what to do when a child can not eat for sickness reasons, etc. Even if your child isn't an infant, the letter is written professionally that a doctor will understand the reasons for having an IV placed. Do not forget that the IV with D10 should be in place until your underweight RSS/SGA child can EAT again, NOT just until they are rehydrated. Very important.
