Guest guest
Hi, I want to thank everyone for keeping me in your thoughts, in your prayers, calling me, sending me cyber hugs, cards, lifting me up and wishing me all the best during my latest hospital stay for my PICC line. I am feeling much better than I was a week ago.It always helps when you come home to your own bed and family, it makes the healing process go much faster. They did the procedure bedside, and I was very anxious and nervous but the PICC team nurses were great and were able to keep me relaxed. It is difficult walking around connected to a line for 12 hours a day. I have stepped on it so many times that I am surprised that it is still in place. I decided to do my 12 hours during the night, I hook up at midnight and go until 12 noon the next day. I thought that time frame would be best, and then I would only be stepping on my line for a few hours a night verses all day long, but with this schedule I am up all night long going to the bathroom :-( Dr. Korson emailed me about 2 weeks ago to let me know that I can schedule my tu surgery starting the week of August 23rd. He said that will be when all the doctors on my team will be available. He will be doing rounds and will be consulting with the Surgeon and the GI doctor, and for that I am forever grateful. Once again thank you to everyone for keeping me in your thoughts and in your prayers. I needed them all. Hugs, Ann-Marie ---------- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
