Guest guest
I couldn't find Adderall, the medication my son is currently on for hyperactivity, on the web or in any drug index anywhere; however, when I got to the pharmacist, I had him read the label, and it says that it contains lactose. So, that renders that not dairy-free. We are currently trying to go milk-free, but have not gone gluten-free (or know if we plan to completely--we may just limit) yet. My son has a psych. med. re-consult in about two weeks. Does anyone know if there are any forms of meds in this drug class (stimulants used to treat hyperactivity--i.e., cylert, dexedrine, Ritalin--all kinds, concerta, etc.) that are already CF (preferably GFCF, but mostly concerned about CF right now) without them being specially made? I know a lot of the meds that come in liquid form are CF, whereas there tablet counterparts are often not (due to a lactose base). Even with limiting in diet, SI, etc., I know that my son still needs meds. He does verbalize, too, and he says that he feels better on medication than going without it.
