Dear ,

I am forwarding your note to the GFCFkids email discussion list. I am also

suggesting that you join this list as it provides parents like yourself a

range of support and information. To subscribe send a blank email to:

GFCFKids-subscribe .

It is difficult to suggest anything more as you left off where you live, so

I cannot look for any resources near you. It is possible there are other

families with a similar situation living near you. You join this list and

ask around. (Friendly advice: Also, using all capital letters is mostly

used when you are trying to shout your words. Many people find it

distracting.)

Can you help

I HAVE A BEAUTIFUL BOY WHO WAS DIAGNOSED WITH PDD ALMOST A 2YRS AGO. HE

RECIEVES INTENSIVE THERAPY AT SCHOOL AND AT HOME. HE HAS COME A LONG

WAYSINCE. HE WILL BE TRANSITIONING IN THE FALL TO PRE SCHOOL. HE SPEECH IS

STILL VERY LIMITED, AND SO ARE HIS SOCIAL SKILLS. LITTLE BY LITTLE HE'S

COMING OUT OF HIS SHELL THANKS TO EARLY INTERVENTION. MY QUESTION TO YOU ;

FOR AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER MY SON HAS NOT HAD A NORMAL BOWL MOVEMENT. I

HAVE TAKEN HIM TO HIS PED. SEVERAL TIME AND THEY SEEM TO DISMISS IT AS

VIRUS.

HE IS GAINING WEIGHT, HE'S GROWING NORMALLY, HE'S EATING AND DRINKING FINE.

I

PUT HIM ON A GLUTE FREE CASINE FREE AND DAIRY FREE DIET AND THE DIARREHA

CONTINUED. THE DOCTOR ORDERED HIM OF THE DIET BUT STILL COULDN'T TELL ME WHY

HE CONTINUES TO HAVE DIARREHA. HE WILL BE SEEING A G.I. SPECIALIST IN JUNE.

HOPEFULLY I CAN GET SOME ANSWERS.

I HAVE BEEN GIVING HIM KEOPECTATE AND IT DOES WORK FOR A WHILE.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I CAN DO FOR HIM IN THE MEAN TIME. I HOPE YOU CAN

HELP.

THANK YOU,

REBECCA R.
