hehehe, that is funny. I never would of thought of that either. they set

those machines to a certain sensitivatity so someones you may not set them off

others you will. My hubby has bolts and screws holding his leg together and

he sets them off too Glad you made it safely, enjoy your visit

That is HILARIOUS!!! I used to wonder whether I'd set off the detectors in

airports, but never did. I bet you're right, though... Baby has pushed

everything into a wad in there and made it dense enough to set off the

detectors. What a hoot! Mark this one down in the ls of OSSG-Pregnant...

I got to California safely. But had a funny experience in the providence

airport. I went through the screening metal detectors and they went off. I

thought it was my bracelet or my necklace...Anyway..

So they take me over to the special area where the lady screener can have a

look at me. She goes over me with the wand...beep beep for bracelet and

necklace. But guess what it keeps going beep beep over my tummy!!!

Finally she makes me go into another room where I have to lift up my shirt

and show her I am indeed truly pregnant and the metal detector is still

So dummy me finally says...Ummm I had gastric bypass surgery and have 8 rows

of staples in my stomach do you think that could be making the machine go

off? She and I both started laughing and I was allowed to go and get on my

plane.
