Its GREAT to have another L&D nurse in here! I am all for doing what

my patients want, of course, SAFETY is the name of the game and should

be first and foremost.... a few months ago though, we had a woman come

in with a 19 page (yes PAGE!) birthing plan. Now, I'm all for doing

what you can for your patients...... but 19 pages is a little extreme

(ALOT really). Most of the things we do anyway, but some are

ridiculous as you say (#2. ABSOLUTELY UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL I

HAVE A C-SECTION. I mean, get real. lol

We have a busy L&D floor averaging 250 or so births a month (I think

2nd or 3rd largest in WV), so a 19 page birth plan does get laughed

at. lol
