Guest guest
Hi All, Well I found out that my beloved OB will be going on vacation from June 22 until July 29th!!!! I am due on July 28th!!! This is my 4th doctor this pregnancy and he is the only one I have liked and trust!!! I am so upset!!! So ....He is telling me not to worry that one of the other attendings will be there....3 of whom I have met and let me tell you I am so not impressed and one of them I flat out hate..... I basically told him if he's not going to be there and since I don't trust anyone there besides him why should I have my baby 12 miles from my house when I can go 1/4 of a mile from my house and be surrounded by strangers too. I am so unhappy about this!!!! Also at this lovely fancy worlds best hospital I will have a super tiny room and have to share a bathroom...but if I go to the hospital down the street from my house they have maternity suites that are huge.....just like when I had my son almost 5 years ago... My doctor said I needed to go to his hospital because they have my case records there.... But can't I just tell the doctors at the hospital down the road my conditions....what's the difference - either way some doctor who isn't familiar with me is going to be doing a delivery on the fly.... My hubby thinks I should just go where we've been going since they have a NICU on hand and its one of the worlds best hospitals..... But I have major trust issues with alot of the staff at this " great " hospital and haven't been very impressed with my care until this new doctor took over.... Any thoughts? Isn't it my right to have my baby where I want? What do you think? Am I being psycho? Chrystal Wife to Jace - together 6 Years! Happy Mommy to - 4 Years Old! Jonas Due July 28, 2004!
