Guest guest
http://hmg.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/content/full/10/20/2277 Here's a quote about which OxPhos subunits are mtDNA encoded and which are nDNA encoded. " The subunits of the five enzyme complexes are encoded in both the nuclear and mitochondrial genomes; of the 82 structural subunits, 13 are encoded in mtDNA. " http://www.neuro.wustl.edu/neuromuscular/pathol/diagrams/mito.htm Scroll down to the OxPhos composition table for more specifics on the division of subunits in each complex. For example, complex I has 39 nDNA subunits and 7 mt DNA subunits. I used to have a site bookmarked that listed the names of every subunit for complexes I-V along with their code status, but can't seem to find that at the moment. Guest guest
Barbara! How lovely to see your signature on a post. I hope the fact that you were able to post indicates some improvement but I won't pressure you to give an update before you are ready. Of course you know we are all rooting for you. Happy to " see " you, Shayna > > http://hmg.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/content/full/10/20/2277 > Here's a quote about which OxPhos subunits are mtDNA encoded and which are > nDNA encoded.
