Fundraising -- every bit does count

Hi guys! Obviously we are very excited about and 's

recent successes with their very large fundraisers. Their efforts

will literally allow more than 10-15 families attend the convention,

as well as help MAGIC cover the additional backend costs that they

incur with convention expenses.

I want to remind you all that in prior years, we haven't had many

large donations. In fact, last year we raised more than $6,000 with

donations that mostly ranged in the $25-$100 area. YES!!! That

little.

$450 covers a scholarship for one family to the convention (it costs

MAGIC an additional $480 in expenses for each family to the

convention on the backend).

So a fundraiser that you run that comes up with $200 is HUGE!!!!!!

for us!!! I had someone email me that felt bad that their own

fundraiser might only raise $200 or so. I want to assure all of you

that every dollar counts. Literally every dollar counts.

I grin at $25 donations, and I literally do a jig when MAGIC emails

me with the $100 donations. So if you want to picture me doing lots

of jigs.......

On behalf of all of the RSS and SGA families out there, I want to

say THANK YOU to everyone who is giving of their time to help other

families. We are really one big family of lots of " cousins. "
