Guest guest
Hi , I also have Celiac Disease (38 years old), You are in good hands if you have started the SCIDiet. The gluten free diet did not work for me (IBS continued, diarrhea cramping, and a nagging pain under my right breast,....just feeling tired and even depressed all the time) ..I assume that since you are trying SCDIET that you are in a similar boat. I am the mother of three kids, two also have Celiac Disease, somehow I also married a Celiac! None of us had success eating the gluten free diet....yes the beginning is not easy....like these wonderful people have told me...it is not a miracle cure....healing is a progress......we are on day 30 and I tell you, if this is any indication we are on the right path...the last thirty days have proved we are. But this has been with the strictest adherence to the SCD guidelines. Best of luck! Hang in there, if you are doing this with the " fanatical adherence " that Elaine speaks of in her BTVC book your pain will soon be in the past! My nagging pain under my right breast has vanished! Sincerely, Antoinette (Day 30 entire family SCD, family problems: Celiac Disease, Dermatitis Herpetiformis, ADD, ADHD, ASD, Depression, and more neurological problems related to having a damaged gut) Hi!
