Guest guest
Hi Antoinette. I'm looking for another recipe from Marilyn in New Orleans. This one came from SCDrecipes. Take care, Fay P.S. I see that Gay found it. Thanks - now I'll save it again ;-) Fay, Slice onion very thinly and place on parchment lined cookie sheet in single layer. Turn your oven to lowest possible temp. Mine goes to 170F, but there are models that can go even lower. It takes few hours for the onion to dry out. I have not done this in the long time, but remember than onion took much longer to get dry then garlic (like 7 -10 hrs). But at least your house will smell heavenly When the onion crisps up, cool and grind in coffee grinder. Store in a glass container with the lid in the fridge. some people use dyhydrator.
