I just followed the recipe from the pecanbread site. The hardest part was pinpointing the exact moment to take them off the heat - a little too long: burnt to a crisp - a little too soon: too soggy. Oh, and the slicer I purchased for this job was totally necessary - I wouldn't have been able to get the slices thin enough without it. I'm sure you've experienced this already!
