Guest guest
Do any of you use cast iron muffin pans? My pans are all teflon coated. I use liners but would like to not have to use them. I have read a little of the stuff that is put on the inexpensive ones and the natural ones are pretty expensive. I am trying to come up with ways to cut expenses in any way that I can and that is practical. I know that it will take a little bit to by the pans but then they should last for my grand kids to use. I would appreciate any ideas or input. Sandy M. Whole family SCD for 9 1/2 wks in support of 5 yr old who rages.

My late mohter-in-law attributed her baking success to " old hands and old pans, " which is why I hang on to my tarnished old Ecko ones and do use paper muffin baking cups. I am sensitive to silicone, so can't use the new ones that look like jelly beans and I don't like how heavy the cast iron are or the fact that they need care to keep from rusting. Still, they are old fashioned and likely conduct the heat well. Although the baked stuff we used to sample at Pioneer Village was a danger to bicuspids and molars alike. I am not giving much help here:-( Carol F.
