Has anyone out there been denied insurance for this surgery even though you

have been medically diagnosed with Sleep Apenea? I have no contract

exclusion for the surgery, and have noticed that those people who are

diagnosed with sleep apenea are often approved. Please let me know if you

have supplied your insurance company with proof of sleep apenea and have

still been denied.

Hi Stormy!

I haven't been approved (or denied) as of yet. But I am having a sleep

study on the 17th of this month. So far I've had a home oximetry study...

when a little oxygen monitor is sent home with you for the night... and that

showed that my oxygen dropped into the 74% range (normal is above 92%)

during the night. That says that more than likely I had apnea episodes

during the night.

I'll let you know through the list, as soon as I find out anything, approval

or not. Hoping I can be of help!
