Dear , Jody.... and to all who can help,

My God, , you have been through a lot. And to think at one time we thought

we where alone! WOW, what a story you have! Are you the that is also

getting your Ph.D. in three weeks????? (what a women if you are!) God Bless this

SCDiet and thank God it is working for all of us! I noticed that you may have

saw Dr. Kucera at a conference? We see him (appointment) at the end of April

(all of us KiKi, and myself/since we all show signs of ASD). Do you have

anything to say about him? Is this Kucera M.D. he is the DAN doctor here

in Colorado Springs Colorado? Girl, our stories have a lot in common (couldn't

believe it)!

Also can you tell me if you are completely taking SCD Dairy out of 's

diet (or if you did at one time and he grew tolerant?)....and what your

reasoning is. Trying to find a balance, she seems to be tolerating the goat

yogurt (teaspoons full) but feel scared of everything I feed her with the

exception of fruits, vegetables, eggs and meats (very limiting diet choices, but

we are surviving some how)! Don't want to delay her healing. Some say casein

can damage the intestines too, similar to Celiac and also cause autism problems

to be worse......truly don't know what to do, but would hope to increase her

food choices some day to at least SCD dairy (even if just goat SCD dairy.... and

the nuts/nut flours which she clearly can not tolerate yet). What is your take

since our kids appear to be similar? Please tell me more, I noticed that he is

now eight years old...so that is hope in it's self! You must have more

experience to share and my husband and I would love to hear your experience

strength and hope. KiKi is doing so much better, but still become frustrated

with situation, since so many

(pediatrician/docs/nutritionalists/dieticians....might add...all are a lose

cause and where a waste of time and money!/many books the same problem!) are not

helping in a way that we would hope. If you choose to, you can e-mail me

given us all hope in a long time! Thank God!

We have pretty much tried the entire DAN protocol with . (We'd been

to Drs.

Kucera and Levinson--both have spoken at DAN conferences if I'm not

mistaken) I e-mailed several authors of these books, and one called me and

told me about this diet. Thinking we'd done all we could do--and having

been under the care of DANs, I'd been out of the loop on what was new to the

biomed world with diet stuff--I thought, " What more could we eliminate? "

Good luck in your detective work-- is about to turn 8, and I ALWAYS

knew that the answer was out there, and that it would come witih gut

healing.
