Guest guest
Dear Jen, Jody and to all who may help, How did your doctor diagnose these problem with staph and yeast? I will insist upon it...I am good at telling them how to do there job...in a nice way that is. Jesus, why didn't they do these tests........ " it's not a problem to have a white coated tongue? " Not a problem to who?...I want to ask her doctor! Feeling a little frustrated! Hoping that DAN in end of April will have better answers/tests/solutions! Will this diet alone take care of it...should we take out all the honey/fruits and juice KiKI is getting to cause a better die off? Heck she isn't eating much anyway...maybe we should feed her dirt! not so funny lol...feeling a little frustrated! The salt (with dextrose in it), and the Apple Juice (thought it only had to be " concentrate free " and it was...but still not safe) has me stirred up! Thank you guys! Carol...you once said: " Smile you are on Candida Camera! " I want to break that Darn Camera Right now!!!!!! Antoinette (SCD day 32 entire family and mother of KiKi 22 month old with Celiac Disease, and mild ASD......) Re: Is this safe/and questions? Antoinette, When K has die-off or a yeast infection, her tounge is always coated white. Kali is still battling the yeast after 10 months but, she has severe health issues sometimes where I must use the antibiotics. GI doc found candida albican infection(yeast) & a Staph infection. Guest guest
I believe the DAN! doctor will be more helpful to your family than your previous doctors. They realize that treating the whole person is a multi-faceted task. And they do seem to try to " connect the dots " and figure out the issue rather than putting " bandaids " on things by treating each thing as though it has no connection with anything else. Guest guest
Antoinnette, Kali's ped. GI did upper and lower gi scopes on Kali. He also took a stool sample. K had pinworms too that we had to start getting rid of first. The doc saw them and I saw them when she pooped them out but, the test he did said that she came back negative for the pinworms! He said this proves just how inaccurate those tests are. Doc Buie doesn't deal with yeast but, the stool sample was positive and he said she had a bad case of it. We are not fortunate enough to be able to afford the DAN! doc's. I feel we may be stuck like this forever. And, I believe that SCD can help with the yeast if you don't always have to go on antibiotics etc. Where would we be without it? Crazy? Sicker? Kali's traditional ped. doesn't believe in any of this stuff. We will have to try to find another.... Are there any SCD friendly, alternative health docs that are not DAN! docs but, do have some knowledge of the protocol that are not as expensive? Is there any help out there for low income autistic children? Good luck with your DAN! appt. and fighting those yeast bugs! Guest guest
I had to reduce my use of honey when baking for K & decrease the grape juice & OJ which has helped a lot. She won't eat any fruits but, I do juice myself. Jenn & K Re: Is this safe/and questions? > > > Antoinette, > When K has die-off or a yeast infection, her tounge is always coated > white.
