Checking on Dr. Rutledge

My supporting physician suggested I check to see that Dr. Rutledge is

a member in good standing with the North Carolina Medical Society and

the North Carolina licensing board. After 7 months reading the posts

I feel pretty comfortable but it does seem wise to do this since I am

an out-of-state person. I know that there have been others who have

been quite thorough and I was wondering if anyone else has already

done this.

Also, can anyone tell me how to find out how to contact the Society

and Board?

I saw Ginny's post about the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons

but I don't recall anything on the North Carolina groups.

Thanks for any help,

in land

Hi :

If I remember correctly there is a site for F.A.C.S. Try doing a

search on that. I believe you could look up individual doctors on

that site. Good luck!

You can check to see if these organizations have web sites. If so,

there will probably be some contact info. That is how I was able to

contact the ASBS. I am sure that the good Doc is in good standing

with these bodies, but since your PCP asked, I would research the

situation as requested.
