I agree with having the EKG before you leave home. I got my EKG before I left

but didn't look at the results until I got home. I had an abnormal EKG and was

unable to do anything about it because it was a holiday weekend. I went to N.C.

not knowing if I would be able to have the surgery or not. I saw DR.R. in

clinic

on Tuesday and he wanted a cardiology consult. My surgery was scheduled for

Fri.

To make a long story short, it made for an increase in stress for me, extra work

for Dr. R and his staff (they had to find a cardiologist that would see me on

short notice) and I had a whopping bill almost $700. I did get most of it back

from my insurance co. but I had to go through the aggravation. This could have

been avoided if someone (even me) had noticed that the EKG was abnormal when it

was done. Just my 2 cents.
