you just set it up so well ....)

i find summer better too.

i'm not sure if it's the temp thing.

it might be more the dryness thing

and then i use more moisturizers

and

the more product i use

the more i break out ...

or maybe it's a coincidence.

yep.

all my

FLARES

have been in the winter.

guess that makes us both freaks ...

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to tell everyone, as well as get other peoples opinion

on what weather is better for rosacea?

For me, oddly enough, warmer weather is better. I thought it might

have been a coincidence, but this is my second summer with rosacea,

and i trully believe that warmer is better. Let me tell you why.

I think that the reason why winters and colder weather is worse for

me is because if i go outside it is cold, however, when i go indoors,

the places are heated. I believe, that if my body temperature cools

down, and when i go inside a warm building my body temp. begins to

heat up, which in turn causes a flare up.

Now, the reason why summers aren't as bad is because my body

temperature doesn't get a chance to drop low, or rise as high. Even

with AC, you cant get so cold as when you'd be out in the winter, and

when you go outside, the body temperature doesn't change as much.

I apoligize for possibly confusing you, but there is no other way to

put it.

If anyone has experienced the same, please let me know, so that i

don't feel like a complete freak...........but if you disagree with

me, let me know as well.

Thank you, and hope we'll all be CURED REALLY SOON

My skin is best in the fall and spring - but I live in the hot humid south.

If the two of you live in more hospitable areas your typical summer

conditions may be my spring weather conditions.

P S - Stacey I love your writing

For my skin, summer is much better. My skin gets hypersensitive

every winter. I think it can't handle the temperature changes, going

from cold outside into the centrally heated indoors. Generally I

find my skin is much drier, yet that is the time of year when I tend

to get pustules. Even though I haven't yet found a sunscreen which

is completely non-irritating, my skin still feels less irritable in

the summer. I've also noticed a quite rapid change in the condition

of my skin when I've taken a winter holiday to a warmer climate.

Hi,

My skin is definitely better in the winter I can go long periods with no redness

and only a little flakiness which is usually handled with a little moisturiser -

just like normal skin. However, the summer is totally different and very

frustrating. I live in Sydney so when you guys are complaining about winter and

the cold I am complaining about summer and the heat. Right now its winter so I

am doing really well. A typical winter day here is about 16 or 17degrees and

either sunny or light rain. There is alot more moisture in the air during winter

and I find my hair goes curly too. I find that the only time I get a flare is

when the heater has been on too long - my husband gets cold fast. He grew up in

Papua New Guinea so anything below 15c is too cold for him - I grew up in Canada

so the heat here really kills me.

I did notice on a recent trip to Bali that it can be hot as long as there is

alot of humidity in the air. Maybe I need to move up to Darwin? Dry heat just

aggravates my skin so much.

My face is by far better in the winter. I find that heat is my mortal

enemy. Living in Souther California it gets cool, but not that cold

though. I do drive with air conditioning on all the time. And since I

have found that I do have rosacea, and heat is a huge trigger, my

face has gotten much better by keeping it cool and not letting myself

get over heated.

Another huge trigger is stress. I get stressed, or upset, bam I turn

purple!
