Guest guest
I sent this to the sebderm support group but in case I don't get many replies there I figured I'd post it here too since this group is larger. Chances are no one will know the answer, but, hey its worth a shot, right? " I have a few different skin conditions at the moment, I'm trying to figure out which one this symptom belongs to. After I eat pasta and other carbo-loaded foods recently, my face will break out in lots of red blotches and bumps on my lip (where I have my Seborrheic dermatitis.. it looks just like my seb derm is getting worse plus papules) Also my cheeks will get very red (but NOT flushed.. it does NOT feel like a rosacea flush at all.. no feeling of burning or warmth, which I normally do get when I have a rosacea flush to foods) the redness is also more jagged-looking than usual. And on the outskirts of the redness there are little red circles. (sorta like papules only underneath the skin) this whole thing may take up to between 12-36 hours to subside. my most successful rosacea remedies (noritate, drinking cold water, etc) do not improve any of these symptoms at all. They also appear sometimes after I take my nighttime shower, after I sweat, and after I brush my teeth. Does this sound like a seb derm problem? Its been ALOT worse every night this past week since starting Cimetidine (Which I've been told can aggrevate seb derm). I'm trying to figure out if its seb derm, or cea-in-disguise (perhaps rebounding as the cimetidine wears off), or some as-of-yet undiagnosed skin condition " Thanks!
