Guest guest
i just wanted to post some observations that i have in regards to home remidies i have tried in the past few weeks. remember the preparation-h craze a few weeks ago? well i jumped right on that bandwagon, in fact i had shmeared that greasy stuff on for about a week without any significant results. not only did i not care for the " texture " of the cream, but because one of the main ingredients was shark liver oil, i went to bed smelling like a dead fish. my cat, however, enjoyed the fragrance immensly. next was the oregano oil to help combat the seb-dermatitis. suprisingly it has done a great job. i purchased the gel caplets, cut open one end and spot treat areas (usually along my hair line), by the morning the redness, dryness and itchiness is gone. so instead of smelling like a dead fish, i smell more like a freshly baked pizza. needless to say i wake up quite hungry. i purchased the least expensive ($50) panasonic wet/dry shaver along with aveeno shaving cream. wow, that has almost eliminated the redness and bumps i have had on my lower cheeks. thanks to everyone for recommending that. i do, however, use a disposable razor very lightly afterwards, this gives me a very close and comfortable shave. finally after reading a post from marjorie, i have started using the vita-oil sample that dr. sy sent to me when i bought the zinco. i massage a couple of drops on my wet face after i wash with neutrogena extra gentle cleanser. my face feels great and my rosacea has definetely subsided this past week. the semi-pink/pale face i wake up with is usually the same complexion all day, even after mild excersice or other situations that used to aggavate it. i'm trying not to get to attached to this " new " look, invariably things will change, but for the moment i am enjoying it. hopefully there is something in this post that will help someone, most of these things i have gotten from reading others' posts, so lets keep the flow of knowledge/experimentation flowing! tim
Guest guest
My only contribution to this fishy question is that I am using Desitin diaper rash ointment on my face at night because it is about 40% zinc oxide. It also has cod liver oil which is noticeable at first but then I get used to it. It's great fun cleaning the white ointment off my glasses, the phone and anything else I come into contact with. I wish they would make a zinc oxide cream that smells of anchovies. results of experimentation > i just wanted to post some observations that i have in regards to home > remidies i have tried in the past few weeks. > > remember the preparation-h craze a few weeks ago? well i jumped right on > that bandwagon, in fact i had shmeared that greasy stuff on for about a week > without any significant results. not only did i not care for the " texture " > of the cream, but because one of the main ingredients was shark liver oil, i > went to bed smelling like a dead fish. my cat, however, enjoyed the > fragrance immensly. > > next was the oregano oil to help combat the seb-dermatitis. suprisingly it > has done a great job. i purchased the gel caplets, cut open one end and spot > treat areas (usually along my hair line), by the morning the redness, dryness > and itchiness is gone. so instead of smelling like a dead fish, i smell more > like a freshly baked pizza. needless to say i wake up quite hungry. > > i purchased the least expensive ($50) panasonic wet/dry shaver along with > aveeno shaving cream. wow, that has almost eliminated the redness and bumps > i have had on my lower cheeks. thanks to everyone for recommending that. i > do, however, use a disposable razor very lightly afterwards, this gives me a > very close and comfortable shave. > > finally after reading a post from marjorie, i have started using the vita-oil > sample that dr. sy sent to me when i bought the zinco. i massage a couple of > drops on my wet face after i wash with neutrogena extra gentle cleanser. my > face feels great and my rosacea has definetely subsided this past week. the > semi-pink/pale face i wake up with is usually the same complexion all day, > even after mild excersice or other situations that used to aggavate it. > > i'm trying not to get to attached to this " new " look, invariably things will > change, but for the moment i am enjoying it. > > hopefully there is something in this post that will help someone, most of > these things i have gotten from reading others' posts, so lets keep the flow > of knowledge/experimentation flowing! > > tim > > >
