Guest guest
Brent, I'm so sorry about Ella's painful ear infections. Just a few months ago I bought an " Ear Doc. " It was recommended by the head doctor and nurses in the Hyperbaric department of Whitaker Wellness Institute. They use it to relieve ear pressure. It has been a Godsend for my son and I. It's basically a little plastic instrument with a funny shaped end to go right behind the ear. You turn it on and it buzzes. It causes the eustation tube to drain and therefore reducing the inflammation. You can sometimes feel it trickling down your throat. The pain goes away between 1 - 3 minutes. I was skeptical when I first bought it, it seemed so simple, but my son and I are believers now. I've shared it with friends for their kids who have since bought there own! If you are interested, Whitaker Wellness Institute's phone # is: (Irvine, CA) Ask for their vitamin store. Guest guest
Thank you very much for the info. I will check it out. I like the sounds of it. She's resting peacefully and the worst seems over. Guest guest
Hi Brent. Hopefully Ella had a decent night and is feeling much better this morning. I realized that i forgot to add in my post last night about the tylenol for non-ASD kids..but i see that Jody did My suggestion was going to be to check out tylenol suppositories, which are readily available OTC. We don't use tylenol, as brady is ASD, but i think i've seen it mentioned that these may be appropriate on the diet. I have some ibuprofen compounded to have on hand for emergencies. Its amazing to me how potent non-oral meds can be for any of us with GI issues. As far as antibiotics go, i am currently on a massive dose of oral meds, much to my discouragement. Its a long story, but the need was urgent, and compounding wasn't immediately available. I had been trying to treat an infection with the alternative methods, which usually work well for me. But its now into bone and has potentially very serious consequences. Its so discouraging to think about all of the progress i might be undoing. I hope today is a better day for dear Ella. Keep us updated. x cindy
