Guest guest
I am working hard to get my sugar down. My insurance Co. just approved me just on the basis of Dr. R.'s letter. So before they change their mind, I must get going to Durham. Does anyone know if after weight loss especially in the stomach (of which I have lots of) is there a lot of excess skin and how do you get rid of that? I read your msgs. everyday and just hope that soon I will have something to report. Loving each of you and praying for your success in this venture, Betty

Guest guest
Betty, I think age, size, and length of time you have been morbidly obese are all very big factors. In 90-91 I lost 150lbs(down to 132 at 5'6 " ) and I could not get my body tight.I walked 5 miles /day ,did step, weights, and swam 1 mile 3xwk.I was only 35,but I have been obese since puberty.Iam only stating this so you won't feel cheated ,as I did.Now my knees are shot, one foot is starting to be in constant pain,I have stress & night incontinence and a 4 yr old that I long to crawl around and play with.I tried to keep it off. I failed. My excuse every other time before and since was " I didn't get there " , that time it was that " I would still never look good " . But the honest truth is I can't keep it off by myself.I do not care if I never ate solid food again ,I just want to live a better life w/o physical pain.I don't care if I have to wear a unitard w/extra spandex and a turtleneck to look good.Wanna go to OZ, Janet >From: bettyjohn@... >Reply-To: MiniGastricBypass (AT) egroups (DOT) com >To: MiniGastricBypass (AT) egroups (DOT) com >Subject: Waiting for sugar to go down >Date: Fri, 07 Jul 2000 16:28:23 -0000 > >I am working hard to get my sugar down.
