Guest guest
All right, Pals-o-mine, Here is my one month post-op report. I had to go in on the 29th of June after a June 2 MGB due to the Holidays. So I was 1 day short of four weeks. I weighed 348! So for the first time in about a year or so, my local Dr. Carson did not have to use that " extra little weight " for the >350!! Dr Carson was very concerned that I was not getting enough protien. Dr.Bill In AL mgb-06-02-00 393/348 45 lbs melted. [musta been the 2 more feet]

Guest guest
Dr. Bill, Fantastic - 45 pounds in a month! Congratulations. So, what are you doing about the protein deficit? Are you drinking whey protein drinks? Guest guest
Hi ! I am 6 feet tall. I am feeling great in general but having a little difficulty with my left leg. I am able to exercise [walk] now. MGBingly yours, Dr. Bill mgb060200 393/348 Re: Dr. Bill's one month followup > Dear Dr. Bill, > > Yeahhhhhhh!! I am so very happy for your results. Guest guest
Thanks for the reply Darlene! I don't have to buy a new wardrobe. I lost 86 lbs 4 years ago [which I gained back]. You ought to see my closet. It looks like a clothing store. I have hangers labeled with computer labels. I had from a 60 waist to a 38 waist. [pack-rat--pack-rat lol] I gave away everything >56 since my surgery and my 56s are way loose on me. I guess I should have saved one of those 60 trousers for one of those comical " after " photos. Guest guest
I guess I am probably going to go with a supplement. I have so far just been trying to eat more foods with protein in them, beans; sardines, legumes, etc. Dr. Bill Re: Dr. Bill's one month followup > Dr. Bill, > Fantastic - 45 pounds in a month! Guest guest
Dear Dr. Bill... Wow! I suddenly feel two inches taller...LOL. Actually with the weight that I am now people do not actually realize that I am in fact 5'10'. It must be they are following the line of my width rather than my height. Hopefully soon that won't be an option. What is the matter with your leg and how long, (mileage and time) are you waling for? Soon to be MGBingly yours, T. > > > All right, Pals-o-mine, > > > > > > Here is my one month post-op report. > > > > > > I had to go in on the 29th of June after a June 2 MGB due to the > > Holidays. Guest guest
Hi , I developed a DVT [blood clot] in my lower left leg. My local docs say it probably had nothing to do with my surgery--maybe related to travel and the kind of stools I use at work [dentistry]. I was confined to bed giving myself injections of Lovenox twice a day and am currently on Coumadin to " dissolve " the clot. I just walk for 10-15 minutes at a time, several blocks. I have also been swimming ususally about 30 to 45 minutes, but don't count distance there. That's my story and I am sticking with it. Guest guest
Dr. Bill, WOW can I relate. I too am shopping out of my closet. My coworkers think I am buying new things because they haven't seen them but they were things waiting, waiting, waiting. I knew I would need them someday.
