Marjorie,

Can you give any insights on selecting the best acidophilus, both

in pill and yogurt? How does one know we're getting what it says

on the label? Do you know of any particular brands?

One thing I do when buying yogurt is to look for the latest shelf

date and select only plain, non-fat (no sugar or " fruit on the

bottom " !)

When you mention prophylactic medications, I assume you

mean Diflucan?

I don't know the factual information about acidophilus well enough to

comment beyond the importance of source, storage, and type. I've

already expressed how insecure I feel purchasing any unregulated

product, not knowing if what I'm getting is going to be effective and

safe, or even if I'm getting what's on the label.

Yes, that, and others.
