Guest guest
will my rosacea (mild) get worse during pregnancy? do I need to stop taking my meds during this time? I am wondering if my photofacials will tide me over for nine months (had 5 treatments).
Guest guest
Hi, I did not notice any difference at all in my rosacea at the beginning of my pregnancy it was only when I finished work and stopped wearing makeup every day that I noticed a difference. I stopped washing my skin with any type of cleanser and stopped my sunscreen too - I had always wanted to experiment with that but my vanity stopped me. When I went out I stayed on the shadey side of the street and wore a big hat ( I wasn't going very far anyway). Then when the baby was born - and sorry I can't answer any questions about straining during labour making the rosacea worse because I had a cesarean - I started using baby wipes Pampers aloe vera (wipe and then rinse off) which worked really well until I found the Mercier cleanser which is even better because I don't have to rub my skin which I really think is the worst for me - even just a little is too much. Good luck with the pregnancy. I had a terrible one so I didn't have much time to think about my skin. Throwing up for six months, terrible heartburn and backache kept me occupied. To think my boy is 11 months old now and we are thinking of having another one - oh boy! Leah
