OK, they give you the big Demerol. BUT! Even if you has morphine the only

pain you are experiencing is gas and the drugs don't really help they just

make it so you don't care.. There I said it don'tworry it is not that bad,

you will get up and walk then pass out and before you know it morning comes

and you will say, hmmmmmmm did I have anything done?

just my 2 cents Trish

Hi Margie/h,

My surgery was May 29th, 2000, and I am officially 7 weeks post-op

today. I have lost 39 lbs. down from 280 on the day of surgery, to 241. I

am doing very well. I am in the process of learning what I can eat that

sits well and what doesn't.

I feel that I had an easy time with the surgery. I was one of the last on

that Monday, and I left the hospital around 1:00 on Tuesday. We stayed in

Durham until Wed. morning and drove home, which is about 3 hours away. The

first couple of days I was slowmoving due to the gas. After about 5 days, I

was back to driving and running the house again. I should have milked it

for at least a few weeks. I went back to teaching after being out one week.

I took 2 fieldtrips with my class, one of them being to Colonial

burg, a major walking trip. When I got tired, I sat down. No real

problems. Sometimes I get tired, but hadn't been taking my vitamins as I

should have been. I am doing better with that now, and I have more energy.

Please let me know if you have any further questions. You may also contact

me at sanwest@... and I will reply.

Thanks,

Sandy from

VA
