Guest guest
I have had acid reflux for about 20 years or so. In fact, my primary care doctor is a gastroenterologist...because I've had so many tummy problems for so many years that he just said one day.. " well I might as well see you for everything since you're here all the time anyway " . When I decided to have MGB I took the manual to my doc to look over. He told me that this surgery would probably cure my acid reflux. I couldn't imagine being able to actually sleep a whole nite without acid reflux; without four pillows; without that constant burning in the chest, the sore throat, the burping, the hiccups. Well...I no longer sleep on four pillows..just one will do thanks. And I have not slept in a recliner since I returned from Durham. I am vigilent about my Prevacid because I remember all too well the years of acid reflux and how it felt. And I have a huge fear that it will return (I had about two or three days of it in the two weeks after surgery). This is just one of the many things that have been cured by MGB. I actually have ankles. I hadn't seen them in years. I no longer limp, I walk up and down steps like a normal person. This is just way cool!
