Guest guest
Welcome to the groups! You are not alone! This list has been a huge help in showing us " new-and-do-not-know-how moms! We have seen drastic improvement in our ASD four year old son and our ASD 22 month old daughter. Will only be two months os strict SCD on the 21st. We are so happy we found this solution...GFCFSF and cutting down on the sugars never worked as well as SCDiet is working...I wish we had been ready to try this sooner! Like Jody has already guided you to, Read everything on the pecan web pages. Big help! OH and print out your legal and illegal list for when you go shopping and checking those supplements to make sure they are legal too! This way you can take it with you.....This helped us out much...so much to learn but worth it! Again, welcome, Antoinette (entire family SCD, Celiac, ASD and more...finally healing the SCD way!) What is the " intro diet " ? Hello, I am new and considering to give my ASD (4 yr old) boy a try on SCD diet. I have read the BTVC book and the pecanbread.com, and am still do not know how to start the diet (i.e. what is the " intro diet " ) ... could anyone give me a bit guide on this ... Here is a bit of my son's background: My son has been on GFCF diet (and low sugar) for about 1 year (with full range digestive enzymes). Currently (just started recently and suddenly) he is having soft and formed BM once per day. He never has a lot of food sensitivity issue (initially mainly gluten, casin, corn, and loads of chemicals), but he has a very limited diet (banana/orange/pineapple/rasin, rice products, chick/turkey nuggets, eggs, bacons), He had severe yeast problem before I finally waned him off high-sugary drinks and 3 months homeopath treatment. He still craves for sweet stuff (a sign of yeast problem?) though. Because I know that there are some problems with his GI (no help here from his Ped. doctors), I'd like to give SCD a try (thinking start of it this Friday). Thanks in advance for any advice to a new-and-do-not-know-how mom.
Guest guest
jenny- I talked with Lucy - of Lucy's Kitchen (almond flour)- and she mentioned the " phases " isn't relaly an Elaine thing- but rather someone's perception of BTVC. So - if you can offer those few things(for intro diet) even for a day....up to several days.......then you're good. For my guy- he's so picky- he refused to eat and only drank. has lots of experience with scd. I bet if you ask she'd share. JUst FYI- if you can- precook a lot of food choices before you implement. Good to have stuff on hand. beth What is the " intro diet " ? Hello, I am new and considering to give my ASD (4 yr old) boy a try on SCD diet.
