Guest guest
Hi Donna, Glad that all went well for your Friday surgery. I was thinking, and praying for all of you. As for smoothies. The one I use now will make too much for your stomach right now. But, you could cut the ammonts in half. Right after surgery, I blended non-fat yogurt, juice, citrucel, supplements and ice chips to make a frosty thick drink. I kept it in a thermal mug to keep it fairly frozen. I now use 1 cup of orange juice, a frozen banana (small as I can find) a scoop of whey protein, the citrucel and other supplements and ice chips. This makes two big drinks that I sip on for the whole morning. I count this as two meals. I'm not sure about milk, I'm not a milk drinker. The yogurt sat well, but then I've always liked yogurt. I wanted salty things, I made my own broths, mainly chicken and that satisfied the salt cravings as I could go heavy on how much salt I put in my own servings. Welcome to the other side, hang on for the ride of your life. My Mom heads back home to Arizona Thursday, I'll be foot loose and fancy free, give me a call . Try and make it to the nexr support meeting the 29th of July. it's good to see others in all stages of their journeys, in Chapel Hill
