I thought there was a ketchup recipe somewhere, but I can't find it. I

wanted to make up some staples to have around. I looked in BTVC (may

have missed it since I don't see it in the index) and 2 cookbooks, as

well as on pecanbread. Am I blind?

Can anyone tell me how to make this? DO I add honey to make it sweet?

Thanks,

Laurie

Hi Laurie,

So weird,I just finished making a batch...

2 cups Heinz tomato juice

1-3 tablespoons white vinegar

honey to taste (or saccharin)

bay leaf (optional)

s & p to taste

Mix it all together and boil for eternity until it reduces to your

liking - stir often.

I had to have someone else look b/c I thought I was going crazy (not

finding it). It's in Adventures in the Family Kitchen on p. 147 &

listed as Nonnie's Catsup in the index.
