Unless Joanne can get me some decent airfare, I may not come. One quote

I got

was over $1400.00 with a layover in Nashville. I was hoping to get something in

the

$200-$300 dollar range....not $1400!!!!!!! I guess that's what I get for waiting

until

the last minute. I'll see what Joanne can work out tomorrow. I was wanting to

come the

23rd or 24th and stay till the 27th. I don't know where I will be staying, they

may just

hang me on a nail. I hope I'll see you there.

Hi Genz,

Go to the Southwest site. Depending on where you are in Texas, you can fly

for a LOT less. For instance, from Austin you can go out for $239 and back

for $152. From Houston, $209 and $132. Just a thought.

Hi Debbie,

Believe me Southwest is the first one I checked with.....almost $700.

All

the discounted flights were taken. Northwest was over $1400 and so was American.

I told them I only wanted to go to Durham, not buy it. I'm in the DFW area, you

would think I could find a cheap fair somewhere. I've got my friend Joanne

working on it for me. We'll see what she comes up with.

Did you try Priceline.com? You put in the price you want to pay (minus

$25 because they'll add that much in surcharges and taxes) and the dates

you want to leave and come back, and if they can get a ticket for that

price, you've bought it. You can't change it, but it's usually a great

deal if you know your travel dates for sure.
