Guest guest
First, thank you for all the support and input from this group.....it has helped me to keep my sanity. I was previously a vegetarian and for my health I had to try this. I do so miss my veggies, but it is as if they are turning against me I added back a zucchini, squash and cauliflower and I can tell that my stomach is starting to go back to the old ways (distention bloating, gas, etc.) Does anyone have any suggestions on which veggies I should start with? I also just started enzymes (hoping that this will help with the digestion) Also, are Larabars legal food? Or should i avoid nuts for a while? Guest guest
Leanna, Most of the Lara Bars seem to contain legal ingredients, but they would not be suitable for those just starting the diet. I would not recommend trying something like that until all other SCD legal foods are tolerated. They are made from whole nuts and dried fruits, two things which are pretty hard to digest. As for what veggies to try... french cut green beans, squash, zucchini. Avocados, ripe bananas, applesauce (homemade) are also easy to digest. Guest guest
www.digestivewellness.com sells the legal Lara Bars... They are usually for later stages.
