Guest guest
Hi Donna, In your discharge instructions Dr. R says to wait 30-60 minutes before or after a meal to take Carafate. Do not drink or eat for at least 30-60 minutes after taking Carafate. This really helps with the schedule. I know the instructions with the Carafate say one hour before or two hours after a meal. I hope this helps. Best Wishes, Genz UNCLawyer2B@... wrote: > Thanks for the recipe . I don't see why I couldn't nurse one of those > all day long. Guest guest
<< Does empty mean not having had anything to drink for two hours prior to the carafate and one hour after? >> Donna, our new tummies empty within about 30 to 40 minutes. That means that the bottle directions/pharmacy directions about waiting 1-2 hours before and after the Carafate can be shortened to 30 to 40 minutes. The bottle/pharmacy directions are for most people...those who still have complete " old " tummies. Dee in MI ((MGB 16 Dec 99))
