Guest guest
I was so not expecting this so soon. We have been down this yeast road a while and had our first die off some months ago with the introduction of enzymes and probiotics. We have battled it on and off since. Well, as of Monday I took away all grains from my son hoping to get him interested in some new foods this week while trying them out before the big intro this weekend. Well, he is so having die off from just that in a mater of 2 days. He is runny nose(we did this before and he is NEVER sick), low grade fever and just yucky. Somehow he is in good spirits except when I wipe his nose. I guess it's going to be a long weekend. He is rather sharp today though and so affectionate. My son really has (in my opinion) not fit the diagnosis based on the social criteria for months (since taking milk). He interacts with us so much and his eye contact is right on. We also took soy recently and saw more gains there with him just being affectionate and also an end to the mushy stools. However, the only language gains we have really seen (he is non- verbal) were with us trying out gluten free a month ago. So, after an infraction we began preparing to do SCD- hoping for more gains. Oh, I pray this helps. I have longed for him to talk again (he regressed) for most of a year now. Somedays I wonder if it will EVER happen. Things that work for other kids, don't seem to work for our son. I do have a question. My son will NOT swallow capsules (2 1/2 years old) and very opposed to messing in his mouth, so we have never been able to get him to take the charcoal. I heard about Alka Seltzer gold. Does it taste bad? Maybe he might take it? I have done the epsom salt baths, but I can't really tell how much they are working. I welcome any suggestions, as this is about the worst we have had it. Thanks, Laurie
