Morning Dinah,

I live in Greenville, SC and I just moved here. I am not to familiar with

Durham at all in fact. I do know it takes 3-4 hrs to get to Myrtle Beach from

here :0)

And you too , what are you girls doing up so early? My husband

left early and you know how it is when they " try to be quite " lol. So

what the heck, I'm drinking coffee and reading yesterday's posts.

Where are you from ? Dinah in Alabama

You can be in Wilmington via I-40 in 2 hours. It's not a bad drive

and can easily be a " day trip " . sville Beach, Carolina Beach,

Southport and Fort Fisher are all within a few minutes to 45 minutes

from Wilmington. If you'd like more information please let me know.

Have a safe trip!

Hi Beth, Thanks for the info on the beaches. Yes I'd like more if

there is more. Do any of the beaches have a web site. I just kind of

think we would like to see those beaches and if we have to hang

around anyway for a few days, I'd rather be on the beach than shop!

Dinah,

I live in Wilmington. We have beautiful beaches (see links above) A wonderful

historic district and downtown shopping. However if its shopping you want I

would recommend Myrtle Beach SC....about 3 1/2 from Durham. Its FULL of

outlets!!!!!

Best of luck with your surgery!
