Guest guest
Hi Donna, Here is another smoothie recipe idea - Since I am only 7 days post op I'm not an expert on this new stomach but I have made my smoothies with 1/2 of a 6 oz can of orange pineapple juice - few tsps of a lemon " lite " yogurt - some " ice " gaterade - a scoop of protein powder and some ice cubes. I bought a hand held blender that chops the ice cubes into crushed ice and blend that all together and I can't drink it all in over an hour. I just take a couple sips and set it down for a few minutes (boy, that's new to this " gulper " ) I also bought some Carnation Instant Breakfast (variety flavors -vanilla, choc. straw.) and blend that with some ice and a scoop of protein powder and some non-fat milk, too - this tastes like a milkshake - it's great. My new favorite thing in this world after being 1 week post op is ice chips. - I went and bought a kids kind of snow cone maker and inbetween " Meals " I shave up some ice and eat it with a little water added. Its great and I get to chew and also get my water in. Hope this gives you some ideas Barb in Michigan

Guest guest
Hi this is in Kannapolis, can you give me some examples of the protein powder that is required. What about drinking Ensure or Boost or Slim Fast or something simular to that? Re: Smoothie Recipe > Barb, I printed the smoothie recipe. Hope I'll need it soon. What > about the protein powder?
