I'm sorry guys, but the Dallas airports are just so expensive to fly out of.

I even tried a domestic consolidator for Genz and they gave me a price of

$639.00 better than the $1400.00, but still pricey. ; o (

The lower rate medical emergency thingie wouldn't work either unless it's a

life or death situation. I don't think the airlines are really aware of what

is really gonna happen with all of you hoochie Mama's trolling Durham

unattended. Be kind to the city ladies!

Best,

Joanne In TN

Genz,

This is Joannie in Irving. Here is a tip for all of you: " The

airlines' computers are programmed to sell the greatest number of seats

at the highest fares. They realease cheap seats close to flight time if

they havent sold them at the higher fares. Recommendation: Use only

travel agents that contract with one of the pre-ticketing audit

services. These services monitor travel agency bookings and check

fares once every 12-24 hrs. As cheaper seats become available, they

automatically change your reservation to reflect the lower rate. Most

likely to be bumped froma flight: Late arrivals. " Another tip: if you

are a doctor or nurse and willing to be on 24-hr call... to musicians

and entertainers willing to perform, to cosmetology who can barter their

services for a ride, can usually get reduced or free rides in most

commercial carriers, plane, train, CRUISE.... THINK ABOUT IT!!!

I know that American used to have a getaway weekend, leave on Friday or

Saturday and return Monday or Tuesday and if you have too, its cheap

enuf to buy one each way or pay the 75$ charge to change for the

following week.

GOOD LUCK

Gee Genz, you're so tiny now...can't they just squeeze you in a luggage

carrier or something? I've heard about your baby blues...can't you go flirt

with some pilot and have him smuggle you aboard? I think and Flo are

going to have their hands full with Trish, so I'm going to run amuck. I

think you and I could have a blast!

Hoping you get a good price on Priceline...

Amy

Joannie--

After reading these posts for the last few weeks, it seems that

you're the travel expert " in these parts. " I live in Wichita, Kansas

and you cannot get ANYWHERE cheaply from here! I travel almost

monthly for work and usually have to spend around $1,000 round trip.

For surgery, I am considering leaving from Kansas City (a 3-hour

drive from Wichita) in order to save money.

I'm hoping to have surgery in the next couple of weeks (just waiting

on insurance) and would love some help getting flight

arrangements--I've never been overly impressed with the agent I use

to book business trips. I'll be traveling with my wonderful husband.

If you're interested, please let me know how to get in contact with

you. You can email me at dnjester*swbell.net (replace the * with @).

Thanks!
