Sorry, Holly. I don't know why, and Joyce didn't either. Dr. R will see

her tomorrow and I'm sure will explain lots. I'll post again once I've

talked to her and to . I'll let you (and the list) know what I find

out.

My guess would be that Dr. Rutledge wants to be able to check for leaks

since her surgery was apparently pretty extensive if it took him 2 hours

(vs. the usual 35 min.) That is what the NG tube is used for during

surgery, but in the normal case, you do not have it when you come out of

surgery.
